The King Seiko 5625-7110 was produced between 1971 and 1974. The watch is an evolution from the original ‘grammar of design’ the 5625-7000. The difference is subtle but the lugs are finer and the dial indices slimmer and more refined. Three versions were created during this time with three different case backs. The first iteration was a monocoque case with gold KS medallion, second was a screw back case with KS embossed (no medallion) and the final iteration was again a screw back case with no KS markings at all. Of the three, the first one with the medallion is most sought after.

Year: June 1971

Description:  Automatic hi-beat king Seiko. Fully restored and serviced.

Original Dial:  white sunburst effect. Good condition, slight scratch between 4-5 o’clock but no signs of degradation. Silver indices in good condition. Applied Seiko and KS logos.

Case: The 7110 case is relatively rare and was only produced in 1971-2 (the 5625-7000 being the more common case type). Very well-preserved, original gold KS medallion on the case back. Some damage to bezel at 2 o’clock seen in photographs. Case unpolished.

Crown: original KS signed crown

Crystal: new crystal replaced at time of service, brand new condition. With bevelled edge as per original crystal design.

Movement: Seiko cal. 5625, automatic, functioning well with good time keeping. Movement has been fully serviced in July 2026 to include strip down, cleaning, reassembly, lubrication and regulation. The day-date mechanism wasn’t working and has now been repaired with a new metal quick set star.
